A TRAILER carrying hundreds of costumes for BBC1’s new comedy drama The Outlaws crashed into Bristol Harbour this morning. The clothes, valued at hundreds of thousands of pounds, included the elaborate outfits worn by former Poldark star Eleanor Tomlinson who plays extravagant toff, Lady Gaby in the show.

It came after filming had wrapped on series two of the programme which was made in Bristol, the home city of the show’s creator and star, Stephen Merchant.

The lorry moved backwards off the harbour edge in the water at around 7am and ended up partly submerged. But it’s not clear exactly how or why it started moving, fortunately no-one was injured and nearby boats were evacuated.
