Residents of Sherborne Road, in Cheadle Heath, watched on in horror yesterday evening (August 24) as police descended onto a tree-lined path to Carrs Road Park at the end of the street.

Officers rushed to the scene at around 5pm after hearing a young boy had been attacked by a large group of teenagers.
