The winners for the 2022 National Television Awards have been announced at a star-studded event in London. Millions tuned in to watch the annual awards - which celebrates the best of British television - which were this year held at the OVO Wembley Arena in London Among those up for awards, this year were presenting duo Ant and Dec who won the best TV presenter accolade for the 21st consecutive time. Coronation Street missed out on best serial drama with Emmerdale scooping the prize. And the cast and crew as host Joel Dommett surprised them with the pre-recorded speech from King Charles to mark the soap's 50th anniversary Charles said he was “delighted” to be celebrating the milestone, noting that he is old enough to remember when the show was called Emmerdale Farm.
