Motherwell fans have donated over £60,000 to the club – in order to provide free season tickets for unemployed and low-income people.

With the Steelmen matching the contributions, supporters have now been invited to apply to the initiative so they can obtain season ticket packages worth £350 for a parent and child for nothing.

Donations came about after 2020-21 season ticket holders opted not to claim refunds for being unable to attend any games as a result of the Covid pandemic.

A club statement read: "We want to give something back to those in our area who want to get to the football, and help them share in the community spirit and friendship that being part of our club brings."To do that, we are giving free season tickets to unemployed.
