All McDonald's restaurants in Scotland are set to become takeaways, drive-thrus and delivery services due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The chief executive of the fast-food chain in the UK and Ireland confirmed all outlets will remain open for a long as it is safe to do so.

Paul Pomroy also said play areas will shut, however toilets at outlets will remain open for customers. In a statement, Pomroy wrote: "Our restaurants will remain open for as long as it is safe to do so.
