Louis Saha says Manchester United should go in for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, explaining that his former club "needs" a striker like him.

The England captain has scored nine times this season, netting his latest goal in Spurs’ 3-2 Champions League win over Frankfurt on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old is chasing the Premier League goal record having netted 191 top-flight goals. He is just 17 off United legend Wayne Rooney’s tally, but still has a way to go before reaching Alan Shearer’s 260.

Kane was linked with a move to Manchester City two summers ago before he committed his future to Tottenham.
