LGBT+ talent have joined forces to collaborate on a 2021 calendar. The idea for the Calendar Queers project came about after performance artist and creative producer Beau-Azra decided that something needed to be done to recognise the ‘melting pot’ of Manchester’s queer culture. “I moved to Berlin for two years and I recently just got back,” Beau, who is originally from Bury, tells the Manchester Evening News . “Being really welcomed back within Manchester’s queer scene has been very special to me.“With this calendar, I wanted to celebrate how special Manchester’s performers are as well as trying to make a bit of money for the performers who have lost a lot of gigs.“Besides Pride, Christmas is usually one of the busiest times for us.”Teaming.
