An Elderslie man threatened to end his life and take his girlfriend with him.Kaleb Stewart, of Main Street, admitted at Paisley Sheriff Court he shouted, swore, acted in an aggressive manner and resisted police arrest on June 29 last year.Procurator fiscal depute Ian Mathieson told the court: “Minutes prior to 1am on Tuesday, June 29, Mr Stewart contacted police via 999 to report suicidal feelings and said he was going to attempt to end his life by jumping from the window of his home address.“He stated he was with his girlfriend and that he was going to take her with him.“Police attended at 1.02am and found the accused hanging from the window of his property and his girlfriend was holding on to him.“The accused immediately started to shout and swear, causing a disturbance.“Police were able to pull Mr Stewart back inside his property and he immediately became aggressive.“Police attempted to secure the accused and he resisted by throwing his weight around.“PC Crawford tried to apply handcuffs but the accused twisted his arms to resist.

The officer asked the accused to stop resisting and further officers attended.“Handcuffs were applied and the accused was placed in the prone position.“The accused stated, ‘I’m taking two of yous on, I’ll take the rest of yous.’“At 1.10am Stewart was cautioned and informed of his arrest and it was noted he was too irate to make a reply to intimate he understood.“The accused continued to shout and resist and a glass table was smashed and broken during the struggle.“The accused was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Paisley, and was released from there into custody at Govan police station where he was cautioned and charged.”
