Man rushed to hospital after ‘serious’ A9 road smash as police probe early morning horror collision

dailyrecord.co.ukroad traffic accident on the busy A9.Emergency services were called to the scene between Luncarty and Stanley in Perthshire at around 5.50am on Wednesday.It is understood that more than one vehicle was involved and that at least one motorist has been injured.Police confirmed that a man has been taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.Motorists were warned to expect delays in the area after the road was temporarily closed.Traffic Scotland tweeted: “New: 6.15am A9 is closed both ways between Bankfoot and Luncarty due to a serious RTC.
Police are on the scene.“Please use an alternative route meantime.”The closure has now ended but the northbound carriageway remains partially obstructed while the stricken vehicles are recovered.A.
