Man dies after 'becoming unwell' in Glasgow as emergency services race to scene

A man has died after "becoming unwell" in Glasgow. Emergency services raced to Bridge Street in Tradeston after the alarm was raised at around 4.05am on Friday, September 2.

Ambulance crews attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is currently being treated as "unexplained".Police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances at this stage.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.05am on Friday, September 2, 2022, officers were called to a report of a man having become unwell in Bridge Street, Glasgow."Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. "The death is being treated as unexplained, however there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances at this stage.
