Man City stance on transfer pursuit of Bukayo Saka amid uncertain Arsenal future

He is also already a fixture in the England squad under Gareth Southgate and can expect to go to the World Cup at the end of the year.
Arsenal are in the process of trying to secure Saka's club future. The rising star is entering the final two years of his contract in North London, and a failure to agree terms this summer would leave the Gunners vulnerable to having to accept a knock-down price next summer rather than risk losing the player on a free in 2024. However, sources at the Etihad have indicated that - contrary to reports - the forward is not in their plans for this or subsequent transfer windows.
