Rashid Mehmood, 35, of Northumberland Road, Stockport was before Manchester Magistrates Court on Monday (February 1). It comes after officers from GMP were called when a man, 25, presented himself at hospital with a stab wound to the neck.

Police believe the man had been attacked inside Ismail Groceries on Stamford Road on Saturday (30 January) at around 3.30pm.
