Man and woman seriously injured in alleged knife attack in Glasgow as suspect arrested

Glasgow. A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident that happened on Goven Road last night.

A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed officers raced to the scene at around 9pm. It is understood the victims were injured by a knife or bladed weapon and this is forming part of the investigation.Two police vans, two ambulances and two ambulance support vehicles all attended the scene, next to Riverside Primary School.

A 54-year-old man and 52-year-old woman were both taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to their injuries.
