A man and woman in their 60s were taken to hospital following an incident in Salford yesterday (October 6), police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to St Mary's Road, Eccles, shortly after 8pm. On arrival, Greater Manchester Police discovered a man and a woman - both aged in their 60s - had been the victims of an assault.
