Wigan. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were scrambled to Chapel Green Road in Hindley at around 3.30pm this afternoon, January 18, amid reports of a stabbing.

A man was found to have been stabbed 'multiple times in the leg' and was rushed to hospital by road ambulance, according to spokespeople from North West Ambulance and Greater Manchester Police.The force has launched an investigation into the incident, though no arrests have yet been made.The man's injuries are serious, though not believed to be life-threatening.Officers are remaining in the area as the investigation continues, the force has confirmed.
