Love Island producers are said to be seeking out influencers with visible disabilities for the 2021 season of the show. The programme is thought to be hoping to have its first-ever disabled contestant in time for the new series which begins later this month.
According to The Sun producers have contacted people including influencer and para-athlete Milly Pickles, 26, whose leg was amputated after she was electrocuted.
A spokesman said: "Casting is actively approaching for someone who visibly has a disability."It’s all part of the show trying to be as diverse as possible."The final line-up hasn’t been sorted yet but it would be ideal if they had at least one disabled islander."The ITV dating show was recently accused of not celebrating enough.
