Love Island bosses are taking the line that the show must go on in spite of everything. ITV has reportedly refused to cancel the summer series of the hugely popular show despite the fact that the UK has now officially shut down.
Instead, the network is aiming to release the show a month later than usual in July. It is also still in the process of recruiting new contestants saying that it can take ‘weeks’ to pin down potential Love islanders.
Over the weekend there were fears that Love Island 2020 wouldn’t be a goer as the situation in the UK escalated. However, ITV is adamant that the show will air this summer.
