Laura Anderson has shared her 'horrendous' birth story after she suffered a haemorrhage and lost litres of blood. The former Scots Love Island star recently became a first-time mum to her newborn daughter Bonnie Rose after welcoming her into the world with ex-partner Gary Lucy earlier this month. She announced the news of her arrival on social media last week after admitting she had "complications" in the hospital which left her mum and Hollyoaks star Gary "worried" for her health. And she has now shared more details on what happened during her labour.

The 34-year-old reality star admitted she lost 1.6 litres of blood due to a haemorrhage following her daughter's birth and suffered a second-degree tear which required stitches.Laura described parts of her labour as being "mentally torturous" and "horrendous" as she encouraged anyone giving birth to "not be a hero and get the epidural" admitting she waited until she was 9cm before caving in. "I felt like no one was taking me seriously because my contractions were coming like every minute and a half," Laura explained before admitting ex-partner Gary had to fill her in on a lot of the process as she couldn't remember most of it.She added: "When I got to 9cm I was just like f*** this s*** give me the epidural like I cannot do this.".

Although doctors said it was "too late", she finally got the injection into her back which limits the pain and says it was the "best thing ever." "I am having this epidural and they say it takes 45 minutes to kick in and I am thinking 'oh my god' and I'm still using the gas and air and as soon as I stopped needing it I felt like 'hallelujah' it was so good - I even had a nap.
