Large scale emergency at Kilmarnock's Dean Park after young girl 'falls'

Kilmarnock park this evening after a young girl fell on the grounds at the Dean Castle.Police, fire and ambulance crews raced to the scene shortly after 5.30pm.At this time, it's not been established where the incident took place in the vast country park.But a heavy emergency presence was still at the scene just before 7pm as the rescue continued.Fire engines, ambulances and police vehicles had surrounded the historic castle and emergency lighting had been placed on the grounds to allow crews to work.A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 5.30pm on Tuesday, February 16, police were made aware a girl had fallen at Dean Castle."The matter was dealt with by the fire service and paramedics.

drugs offences after a 'pre-planned operation' by cops in Cardenden this morning.Earlier we told how at least four marked police vans had been spotted on Dundonald Park in Cardenen, near Lochgelly, Fife.Emergency services - including a National Risk Ambulance and specialist forensics officers - were sent to the scene as part of the planned operation.At around 9am officers acting on a warrant carried out a search of the house.A 37-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman have now been arrested and charged in connection with offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.Detective Inspector Karen Muirhead of Dunfermline Police Station said: “This hopefully shows our determination to rid our local communities

Beattock.Cops have closed the road after responding to the incident between Junction 15 and 16 around 3.30pm today. Drivers are being urged to avoid the area as traffic is queuing heavily on approach.Traffic Scotland tweeted saying journey times may be longer than usual due to a "serious" road crash.The fire service service confirmed they were initially in attendance but have since left the scene.The road currently remains closed.

Fire crews race to Scots street after hearse bursts into flames in horror blaze
North Ayrshire after a hearse burst into flames this afternoon.Emergency services scrambled to Glencairn Street in Stevenston after a report of the vehicle, which is used for taking coffins to a funeral, on fire.The road was closed near the JET petrol station while the fire brigade tackled the flames at around 4pm.It's not yet clear if there was a coffin inside the hearse at the time of the blaze.It's not believed anyone was injured as a result of the fire and the road has now reopened.A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson told the Record: "We attended at Glencairn Street in Stevenston after reports of a hearse on fire."We got a report at 3.51pm."We sent an appliance and it's all been dealt with."A Police Scotland spokesperson said:
