The Northern Ireland striker is a free agent after he tore up his contract with Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta.Killie boss Derek McInnes is seriously interested in the former Rangers and Hearts star as he attempts to add more firepower for their Championship title charge.
Lafferty is currently considering his options in Scotland, England and across Europe.The much-travelled 34-year-old had a stint at Killie last season, where they ended up getting relegated under Tommy Wright.But Lafferty still scored an impressive 13 goals in as many games for the Ayrshire outfit, who dropped after losing a play-off.McInnes is looking to strengthen his squad and is keen on a loan for former midfielder Dean Campbell at Aberdeen.
English side Rochdale are also keen on the Dons player.Killie have also been linked with moves for Rangers pair Kai Kennedy and Stephen Kelly.
