evoke.ieSky newsreader Kay Burley got in hot water for flaunting lockdown rules to mark her 60th birthday in the UK. Now it’s reported that her friends are searching for the Sky staff who tipped off the photographers to her party.
A number of junior producers overheard the newsreader discuss her 60th birthday celebration, it was claimed. According to Mail on Sunday, her colleagues revealed details of her night out to the press via an encrypted email.
In response to her blatant flaunting lockdown regulations, she has been taken off the air by Sky for six months. She visited a restaurant in central London with nine friends then used a different restaurant’s bathroom after the UK’s 11pm curfew.
