An SNP MP has publicly shared a message calling for a fellow Nationalist at Westminster to be expelled from the party.Kirsty Blackman last night retweeted a demand for the membership of Joanna Cherry to be revoked over an on-going row over trans rights.

Deputy First Minister John Swinney was forced to wade into the argument today and said he would not have shared the tweet himself, while calling for a "considered and respectful debate" over transgender issues.
