The host had joked about calling in sick as anticipation for his slot, which was expected to be filled with folk who had been even more scandalised by the TV show than the previous week.
Instead, listeners were disappointed when he began the RTÉ Radio 1 show saying: ‘The news is there is no news… we’ve only had one email about Normal People.
