This, on occasion, can give followers an unreal expectation of what people look like, especially in an era when many people compare their lives to those on social media.
In order to try and battle against this, Jess Redden has made the decision to no longer use filters while she addresses her followers on her Instagram stories.
Previously, when Jess would speak on stories she would apply a filter which would usually glaze over her skin or add some sort of beautifying effect.
