SOAP legend Jennifer Ellison has teased that she’d reprise her role as the mouthy Emily Shadwick on Brookside in a flash. The revelation came as Jennifer, 38, shared that she has just finished shooting for a new series, but the actress couldn’t say any more about the project.

However, she was able to confirm that the show definitely isn’t the popular Channel 4 soap, which she starred on between 1998 and 2003.

In an interview with Daily Star at last night’s National Diversity Awards, the Liverpudlian added that the new programme will come out later in 2022.

When asked for her thoughts on Brookside creator Phil Redmond’s recent suggestion of a comeback for the show, Jennifer seemed keen.
