Jamie Spears’ days of putting Britney Spears under a microscope are long gone! As you may know, the superstar’s daddy is set to appear in court over alleged conservatorship abuse on the many claims Brit made — including allegations that Jamie spied on his daughter while he was in charge of the controversial legal arrangement.

In hopes of defending himself, Jamie requested the judge force the pop icon to sit for a deposition so he could question her under oath on the various claims the songstress and lawyer Mathew Rosengart levied against him.

But it looks like the 68-year-old will have to find a new way to vindicate himself, because the judge just denied his request! On Wednesday, the judge said if Jamie truly was innocent, he would be able to defend himself against allegations of conservatorship abuse by obtaining information from sources besides his daughter, like documents or other witnesses.

So the judge seemed to agree with Rosengart’s take: that Jamie’s request to grill Brit in court is an unnecessary attempt to harass her.

A gay former marine is being hailed as a hero for his timely intervention that averted a tragedy after an agitated man brought a grenade into a popular gay bar in Florida. A US court yesterday declined to force Britney Spears to sit for a deposition as part of her ongoing legal dispute with her father over the management of the conservatorship that ran her life for thirteen years.Although that often controversial conservatorship was brought to an end last year, there remains plenty of legal wrangling in relation to it, including over allegations that Spears’ father Jamie, in his role overseeing the conservatorship, mismanaged his daughter’s finances and spied on her by monitoring her phone calls and putting a listening device in her bedroom.As part of the legal proceedings, Jamie has been ordered to take part in a deposition, in which he will have to answer questions posed by his daughter’s legal team under oath. In return, Jamie’s lawyers wanted Britney to do the same, answering their questions.However, her lawyer Mathew Rosengart argued that such a deposition would “re-traumatise” his client just as she is she is getting her life back together following last year’s termination of the conservatorship.According to Variety, he told the court: “Whether [Jamie] accepts it or not, his daughter feels traumatised by what she went through at his hands for more than a decade”.
