Jamie Dornan is the latest guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon! The 39-year-old Belfast actor appeared on the late night show to promote his award-winning movie on Tuesday (January 25) in New York City.
During the interview, Jamie talked about his audition for Thor, which was when he first had an indirect interaction with Belfast director Kenneth Branagh, and how his Kermit the Frog impersonation went viral a couple months ago. Click inside to read more… Jamie didn’t audition to play the role of Thor, but he did audition for the 2011 movie, which Kenneth directed “I did audition for Thor when he directed Thor way-back-when.
I don’t even think he saw my tape, it was that bad,” Jamie said, adding that he auditioned to play one of Thor’s “smaller buddies.” While discussing the Kermit the Frog impersonation, Jamie said he wasn’t actually singing “Rainbow Connection” for his kids.
He was singing for his groomer while getting ready for a different talk show! “I was just mucking around with a guitar. I’ve always loved that song, so I was singing that song anyway and then realized I could sing it like Kermit,” Jamie said. Jamie recently revealed the one and only movie that makes him cry.
