Missing Ayrshire youngster Jamie Cannon turns 20-years-old today.The Saltcoats man vanished into thin air on May 20 last year and hasn't been spotted since.Jamie was 19 when he disappeared in North Ayrshire — almost eight months ago.Today Ayrshire's top cop Chief Superintendent Faroque Hussain has said he can't begin to imagine the anguish that Jamie's parents are experiencing.The Ayrshire Divisional Commander tweeted: "Today is Jamie’s birthday and my thoughts very much remain with his family and friends."As a parent, I cannot imagine the anguish Jamie’s parents are going through."Please cast your mind back to May 20 — do you recall seeing anyone in Ayrshire fitting Jamie’s description?Jamie was last seen on Thursday, May 20 around 10am on Kinnier Road and was reported missing two days later on Saturday, May 22.Cannon is 6ft 1in tall with short brown hair and was last seen wearing grey jogging bottoms, grey trainers and a blue jacket, carrying a camouflage backpack.There have been no other known sightings of the missing teen and his worried family have described his disappearance to police as "completely out of character for him".Local officers have been assisted by specialist officers, including search advisors and the dog unit, but there have been no further sightings of him.On May 22, two days after Jamie was reported missing, Sgt Paterson at Saltcoats Police Office issued a plea to the public to be on the lookout for the teen.He said: “Jamie has been missing for a number of days now, this is out of character for him and his family are looking for him to make contact with them and for his safe return home.
