A yob who threatened to kill police and tried to spit at an officer has been jailed for almost a year.Brian Douglas, 43, of Pentland Road, Wishaw, was sentenced at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.He admitted threatening or abusive behaviour towards police officers and assaulting PC John Evans by attempting to spit at him.Jennifer McCabe, prosecuting, said officers went to Douglas's home in relation to another incident shortly after midnight on October 17, 2020.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
