Ruth Langsford
Ruth Langsford (born 17 March 1960 in Singapore) is an English television presenter of shows such as This Morning, Gift Wrapped and How the Other Half Lives. Langsford is an anchor on ITV's lunchtime chat show Loose Women and presents Ruth Langsford's Fashion Edit on QVC. She took part in the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, where she came ninth. She is currently the longest serving female presenter of This Morning. Ruth currently is more frequently known for her exclusive fashion collection, for British fashion label QVC. After being approached to curate a collection, Langsford signed a multi million pound endorsement deal that spawned 19 sellout collections; 18 of which debuted at London Fashion Week Women’s Collection.

ITV Loose Women guest in Ukraine forced to cut interview live on air amid bomb scare

Loose Women were forced to cut an interview with a guest in Ukraine as bomb sirens began to sound at another studio. The ITV lunchtime show was back on-screen on Wednesday (March 9) with Ruth Langsford anchoring the show alongside her fellow panellists Frankie Bridge, Janet Street-Porter, and Kelle Bryan.

They were joined on the programme by Marichka Padalko who is one of the presenters on one of the main TV networks in Ukraine. Marichka was live from Kyiv in her TV studio and has to be ready to go live every time there is an alert in the country. But as she spoke, people began pacing behind her and looking through to where Marichka was sat as she said; "We're hearing now the air strikes and it's been announced in the studio that we're having [a] live broadcast now which means I have three minutes only to fill in.
