She's been a favourite with Corrie fans since she arrived on the famous cobbles in 2001, but Fiz Stape could be set to bid farewell to Coronation Street to make a fresh start in a new home with boyfriend Phill Whittaker.
Fiz made her first appearance in the soap as a feisty teen fostered by Roy and Hayley Cropper 21 years ago. The Underworld machinist and antiques dealer, played by Bury actress Jennie McAlpine, 38, was initially only meant to appear for five episodes but was made a permanent character.
Fiz has been involved in gripping storylines including her serial killer late husband John Stape carrying out three murders and helping him to bury the bodies. Last year there was heartache for Fiz when partner Tyrone Dobbs cheated on her with Alina Pop. The character had planned a 'Mamma Mia' style Greek wedding and was devastated to realise that he had feelings for their lodger, who fell pregnant with his baby.
