Katie McGlynn has revisited her heartbreaking Coronation Street scenes to deliver an important message to fans. The actress, who starred as Sinead Osbourne - nee Tinker - on the ITV soap, took to Instagram with a series of pictures from nearer the end of her time on the programme.
The pictures also featured co-star Rob Mallard, who played on-screen husband Daniel Osbourne. It showed Katie portraying Sinead's cervical cancer battle, which she only discovered once falling pregnant with the couple's son, Bertie. The soap star also became a patron for Mummy's Star, a charity that s dedicated to women and their families diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy or within 12 months of giving birth.
And despite now starring in Hollyoaks, Katie hasn't forgotten about her former character. "ONE in every THREE people don’t go for their cervical screening… this number is staggering and needs to change now," she wrote on Instagram alongside the stills from her emotional Corrie scenes. "Yes, I am banging my drum again!
