'It's just so weird': Woman wakes up to find metal gate from outside house was stolen overnight
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA shocked mum-of-two woke up to find the metal gate at the front of her house had been swiped by a thief overnight. Sophie Alexander, who lives on Sussex Drive in Droylsden, said she opened her door and noticed her two metal gates outside her home had completely disappeared.
After asking her neighbours across the road for CCTV footage, she saw a red car pull up outside her home in the early hours of Sunday morning (April 17) before the driver opens the boot and later drives away.
The footage freezes, but Sophie believes the man ripped off her gate before stashing it in the car and making off. In her two years living at the home, which is next door to her mum, Sophie, 23, says she has never had anything stolen and has been left now considering reporting the incident to the police.
