Trafford council has warned families to follow local lockdown rules and not knock on doors for sweets this year. Bosses said it is a 'huge shame' children won't be able to celebrate Halloween as they usually would, but that people's health is their 'main concern'.They are encouraging families to dress up and celebrate in their own homes instead.Going from door to door counts as household mixing, which is currently banned in Greater Manchester.Coun Jane Slater, Trafford council’s executive member for health, wellbeing and equalities, said ignoring the rules would 'put others at risk'.“Halloween has become a major event in Britain and families are used to going out on the streets to take part in trick or treat on the big night," she said.Keep.
