Inspirational Scot who called cancer a 'gift' that forced her to live better has sadly died

Tributes have been paid to an 'inspirational' doctor who has passed away following a brave battle with cancer.Fi Munro, from Perthshire, died on July 7 surrounded by her family having been diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in 2016.We previously told in 2017 how the 34-year-old was determined not to let her illness stop her living her life.She described her illness as a 'gift' which helped give her a fresh prospective on life.Speaking to the Record, Fi said if she got the chance to swap the cancer for the life she had before diagnosis, she would turn it down.She said: “Cancer has taught me about what happens in life and it isn’t about having a long life – it’s about having a good life.She added: “I was kind of wasting life before and I.
