A 20-year-old man has avoided jail time after he let off a firework which started an enormous blaze, causing over £1 million in damage.

George Campbell pleaded guilty to simple arson and was sentenced on October 26. Campbell had bought fireworks and decided to let them off at the Cattle Market, causing one of the biggest fires in Nottingham's history, reports Nottinghamshire Live.Judge Steven Coupland said that he had thought about the risk to others and property and that was part of the reason that led him to the Cattle Market.Campbell thought that area would be a safer place to let fireworks off than other areas.But one rocket let off went under the shutter of a business and set it on fire, having a serious effect on businesses that
