Imelda May has announced her first spoken word EP of poetry. Released on June 12 through Decca Records, Slip of the Tongue is a nine track collection, lead by the first single Home, out today (May 13).

Another poem will be released each week until the EP's full rollout next month. Home - which features Imelda's distinct speaking voice accompanied by string instrumentation - originally began as a poem Imelda wrote for her friend's wedding: "It made me sit and really think about Love and what it is in all its forms and to look at it purely from loves own point of view," the Dubliner said in a statement.
