Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.

And now the sheriff leading the ongoing investigation into his disappearance has revealed he's ordered his team to go over every last detail of the original case from scratch - and explained exactly why he believes Lewis was murdered.

Baskin, who runs the Big Cat Animal Sanctuary in Tampa, Florida, features in the documentary series thanks to her rivalry with animal collector Joe Exotic.
