TV comic Jimmy Carr has spoken emotionally about the impact of his tax-avoidance shame on his mental health. The star, 49, admits he suffered terrifying panic attacks and didn't sleep for days after facing huge backlash over the K2 scheme.

Although it's a legal way of lowering the amount of tax paid, Jimmy was humiliated by the then-Prime Minister David Cameron who slammed his moral behaviour - and was even roasted on his own panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats.

Jimmy also lost close friends during the scandal, which he spoke about on The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett. He told the podcast: "I didn't sleep for maybe three days.
