But senior coroner for Manchester West Timothy Brennand concluded at the Bolton inquest that there was insufficient evidence to record anything other than an open verdict on 42-year-old Peter Richard Bell.

Mr Bell's body was found in his Barrfield Road, Salford flat, but it was so badly decomposed the cause of death was' unascertainable'.
