Residents have voiced their 'disgust' at the huge pile of rubbish found along the Manchester Ship Canal. Dog walkers, cyclists and runners from surrounding areas have voiced their displeasure at the pile of waste that has been building up at the bottom of the Cadishead Viaduct in Salford.
Salford City Council say the land is owned by the Manchester Ship Canal who have been asked to remove the waste and increase security on the site by the Council.
Rachel Brodie from Cadishead is one of the residents who was shocked to find the rubbish while walking her dog last week. She said: "Whoever's done it has collected it from different locations and just dumped it there. "My dad passes there more than me and he says it's been like that since
