Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is a benefit that helps people over the age of 16 with the extra costs of a long-term health condition or disability.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) could give you between £23.60 and £151.40 per week to help with the costs of daily living and mobility needs.
PIP is usually paid every four weeks, and the amount you get depends on how your condition affects you - not the condition itself.
How much PIP you will be paid depends on how difficult it is for you to carry out certain daily tasks including preparing and eating food, washing and getting dressed, basic toilet needs and moving around - inside and outside the home.
