Historic 15th century Perth hotel is given a makeover

Perth hotel has gone through a restoration after a scientific examination of its walls. The Mercure Hotel, which dates from the 15th century, is an A-listed building on the city’s West Mill Street.It is famous for having a mill stream run right through it, which can be seen at glass viewing points.Parents need to tell school their October holiday plans to help fight COVID-19The outside of the building required some work, but a match for the type of fabric used had to take place before work could start.Research eventually uncovered a quarry in Fife and the work has now been completed.“The examination of the original stonework was carried out by the Scottish Lime Centre Trust,” comments the hotel’s general manager, Gabriella Maltesics.MSP.
