While a lot of awards shows have the winners determined by votes from fans or votes from a panel, the Billboard Music Awards doesn’t use either of those methods!

The 2021 edition of the annual awards show is airing RIGHT NOW on NBC and some fans are wondering how the winners are decided.

Well, we have the info for you! Click inside for the official details on how winners are decided at the BBMAs… A rep for the Billboard Music Awards has said that “finalists and winners are based on key fan interactions with music, including audio and video streaming, album and digital song sales, radio airplay, and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including MRC Data and Next Big Sound.” So, there you have it!
