A Manchester golf course will be able to open later and sell alcohol to festival-goers during Parklife weekend.Heaton Park Golf Club has been granted a new licence by Manchester council allowing them to stay open from 6am to midnight, seven days a week.Opening times will change to 8am until midnight between November and March according to conditions agreed by the city’s licensing subcommittee.Alcohol can also be sold on the premises between 10am to 11.30pm throughout the week, while the playing of recorded music indoors will also be allowed from midday until 11.30pm.During Parklife the 18-hole course’s clubhouse will be able to sell booze in rubber bottles for consumption both on and off the premises.The festival was due to take part in.
