Gudni Bergsson believes there is a difference at Bolton Wanderers now with the club under the ownership of Football Ventures but believes patience will be needed to get the League One side back to the heights it has been on in the past.
The Icelandic played more than 250 times for Wanderers during his playing days for the club, playing under Bruce Rioch, Colin Todd, Roy McFarland and Sam Allardyce.
He was back at the club yesterday for a legends fundraising match aiming to raise funds for the treatment of Bolton defender Gethin Jones' mum Karen, who has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
