Ground handling staff based at Manchester Airport at risk of redundancy following Flybe collapse

Ground handling staff at a firm based at Manchester Airport have been told they are at risk of redundancy due to the collapse of Flybe.

Europe's largest regional airline announced it had it had ceased trading with immediate effect in the early hours of Thursday.

Around 300 cabin crew and pilots lost their jobs after the airline went into adminstration. Menzies Aviation was contracted to do ground handling work for the firm at Manchester Airport.

All staff at Menzies, except for a handful of management and HR roles are at risk, according to a notice sent to all staff seen by the M.E.N.
