Families who have lost loved ones during the coronavirus lockdown have shared the heartbreaking reality of planning a funeral.

Anna Bowen and Christina Arcieri have seen family members die from unrelated causes to coronavirus, during the pandemic. Tough social distancing measures mean they are unable to be comforted by friends and family, with funerals now set to look very different.

Christina fears she won't even be able to attend her mother's funeral, if social restrictions are tightened further, Wales Online reported.

She said she has "given my dead pets better funerals." According to Jon Levett, chief executive of the National Association of Funeral Directors, at this time funerals should be attended by close family members only.
