Coronation Street star Charlie Condou heartbroken as his sister dies after cancer battle

Coronation Street star Charlie Condou has been left heartbroken after his sister's death of cancer.The actor shared on Twitter that his sister Niki Shisley sadly died from ovarian cancer “a few days ago”.The former soap star, 49, who played Marcus Dent on the ITV show, shared a JustGiving page supporting domestic violence victims, revealing that a fundraiser had been set up in her memory. "In memory of my beautiful sister, who died a few days ago," Charlie wrote, as his followers and friends rushed to send their condolences.

Charlie’s sister Niki had been been diagnosed with ovarian cancer several years previously, with the actor previously posting updates on her treatment.

Niki was undergoing an intensive third round of chemotherapy when Charlie told his fans the news about the diagnosis back in 2019. "My bloody incredible sister, a true warrior, role model, inspiration and all round badass," he wrote alongside a photo of the pair together. "She’s just started chemotherapy for her third bout of cancer with an abundance of grace, serenity and acceptance.
