Grey’s Anatomy will not resume production on season 16 after being one of the first shows to shut down during the current health crisis.

Only 21 out of the 25 episodes planned for this season have been completed and the season will now end on April 9, according to THR.

Grey’s Anatomy, which stars Ellen Pompeo, has already been renewed for a 17th season, but it’s unclear when the show will be able to begin production on those upcoming episodes.

No shows are currently filming and they will not resume work until it’s safe to do so. Fellow Shondaland series How to Get Away with Murder‘s final season is currently airing, but it wrapped production a while ago and will air as planned.
